| LVCDC offers training in the fields of Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Dunham, Tap & Dance History classes to young aspiring dancers of all levels from beginners to professionals. LVCDC has some of the best trained master teachers in the United States. Apart from Open classes, LVCDC has an erray of programs geared towards producing well trained, knowledgeable, healthy and fit budding young artist. LVCDC also offers Yoga, Ballroom dancing, African, Hip Hop, & Salsa as well. |
TRAINING COMPANY PROGRAM
DANCERS MUST AUDITION & BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS PROGRAM
(Young Men & Young Women ages 16-19)
Dancers showing exceptional abilities in dance, and completing the previous three programs, will continue emerging as a pre- professional artist. Dancers will have classes strictly geared towards possible career goals in dance. It will focus on performing, & stage presence. Taking the lessons they learned from class, dancers will then begin the process of transferring their skills to the stage. The program will include high caliber dance classes, also make-up lessons, and hair design for different ballets, discipline when traveling, nutrition, injury prevention, proper warm-up, & the prolonging of one’s dance career. The Dancer will have the opportunity to perform and travel with the company on LVCDT’S U.S Tour (one city) and will have the chance to travel abroad to Europe with LVCDT and perform in a major city for one week as well.
The fee for this program is $1,500.00 dollars per season.
(Dancers must have and maintain a B average in there respective Academic schools to be eligible for this program.)
A panel including the Artistic Director, Associate director, School Director, Rehearsal Director, & Teachers will decide who, when, where & what the dancer will perform. Upon completion of this program the dancer may be offered an Apprentice position with the company. Apprentice positions are few and will be decided by the Artistic Director & Associate Director. (There is no fee for Apprenticeship positions.) The company will then take over expenses of the dancer costume, shoes, classes etc. |
SUMMER INTENSIVE PROGRAM
The program will provide an array of codified curriculum, spanning Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Dunham, & African techniques.
The scholarship program will ensure that economic factors do not prohibit or deter qualified students from participating in this program. LVCDC’S summer intensive is designed so dancers age 15-21 years of age may explore choreography, develop a style that is synonymous with LVCDT, and challenge themselves to work outside of the box of structured ballet and modern techniques.
The student will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with world-class choreographers, teachers, conceptualist, and researchers. This comprehensive program will ensure that these young dancers have a healthy and knowledgeable start to their careers in the art of dance.
The fee for this program is $1,200.00 for a six-week session with classes taking place Monday-Friday. A one time $100.00 Non-refundable, registration fee must be paid before the start of the program. Space is Limited for this program and you must audition unless you are a professional working dancer. |
